A beautiful Mississippi wedding in downtown Tupelo

May 25th will always be a special day for me. That was the day Haylee & Trace were married at The Cotton Mill in Tupelo, Mississippi. That was also the day I had the privilege to shoot my first solo wedding!

After second shooting and assisting other wedding photographers for over a year, I was ready to venture out on my own. So I was ecstatic when Haylee contacted me about photographing her wedding day.

I arrived to The Cotton Mill that morning and began by photographing all of the special wedding details. Haylee and Trace had a Bible handpainted that they used this as an alternative to a guestbook. Friends and family highlighted meaningful verses and wrote notes to the couple in the margins.

One of my favorite details from the day were Haylee's personalized Nikes! I'm all about wearing what you're comfortable in and this especially applies on your big day. That pearl Nike swoosh is just perfection.

Speaking of perfection - let's take a moment for the florals. MK Floral Designs did a stunning job on all of the floral arrangements and bouquets. The bright colors were so lovely for this late Spring wedding.

There were lots of sweet getting ready moments between Haylee and her bridal party.

Haylee chose to have several first look moments during her wedding day with her Dad, brother, and bridesmaids.

And then with her Groom!

The rest of the day seemed to fly by! The afternoon ceremony was beautiful as the light came through the windows of The Cotton Mill. The reception was filled with food, dancing, and laughter. The day ended as the couple exited in a bright red Mustang.

I can't thank Haylee and Trace enough for trusting me with capturing their day. I don't think I could have picked a more perfect wedding or couple for my first time going at it solo.
